I like to build things that matter, whether that be a community, an app, an idea or a business. I look for interesting work. I thrive as a translator, bridging the gap between technical understanding, social impact, and business value. As a French-American, and speaking both languages, I've said before that my identity is found somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic. As a software developer, I've built apps and APIs for enterprise and start-ups. As a technology advisor, I've led the development of citizen engagement tools and a user-research driven, open data-powered website for a city. I also founded one of the first Code for America Brigades and led the launch of Grand Rapids, Michigan’s open data portal. I've taught aspiring programmers and speak about my work at meetups from time to time.
